Back in January 2011, Sea to Summit Workshops’ first Big Sur outing was a memorable one…for all the wrong reasons. The moment we hit the parking lot, the rain started and never let up. We had wind, too. Despite the challenging conditions, we made the most of it, even if there was more talking about photography than doing photography. Fast forward to December 2012, and just a few days before another Big Sur workshop, a series of storms rolled through the region. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t cringe a little about the idea of a repeat of that infamous day. Instead, the group (and Josh and I as instructors) had glorious weather. Mild temperatures all day. a light breeze, and the scenic Big Sur coastline as our muse, we all experienced Big Sur at its best. Between the aqua teal waters off Garrapata and the glowing colors of sunset at Pfeiffer Beach, the weather was perfect.
Thanks to Lori, Arief, George, Peter, Mansur, Thomas, Shiva, and V for attending. You were a great group! Happy holidays!
